Cleaning and Maintenance FAQs

Now that your floor is installed, do not wash it for 24 hours.

Designflooring flooring needs very little maintenance. But as durable and hardwearing as it is, your floor can still benefit from regular cleaning and care. Thanks to our unique surface protection system you will find your floors simple to care for.

How soon after installation can the floor be cleaned?
The floor should not be washed for 24 hours after being fitted.

Can I use a steam mop or steam cleaner on Designflooring?

We would not recommend that you use a steam mop or cleaner because the heat and steam can emulsify the adhesive, in turn this can cause the tiles to lift. Designflooring manufacture our own cleaning and maintenance system which has been specifically designed to retain the original aesthetics of your floor without causing damage.
